“Thank you President Trump and Ambassador Greer for putting Americans and American patients first.

“For too long, wealthy nations like Germany have imposed price controls that force American families to subsidize the world’s drug development. Today’s Section 301 investigation is a direct challenge to that arrangement and a welcome step.

“As a physician, I have seen the costs to patients when the system doesn’t work for them. Foreign exploitation isn’t a trade abstraction — it shows up at the pharmacy counter. Every dollar Germany underpays is a dollar an American patient overpays.”
